Expression through symbols has always been a fascinating existence. I love this writing.

What a fantastic survey!

Holding this one in place in my head with the words: Seasons, Spiral, Nonlinear and the Quadrivium.

As Above so Below. This is not religion, but the order of the Universe. As a part of it, we cannot help but constantly mirror our cosmic inheritance. Chaos into order, returns to chaos.

This is what comes to mind, as I come to the end of your terrific cycle of writing.

Now I will go back to the beginning.

There is, I believe in the Hindu philosophy, the concept that life is a spiral, but one more like a funnel, which broadens upward as we progress around and around. Looking back down the spiral, we have the ability to see where we passed this same part of the rotation before, but we have collected more knowledge of the full rotation we have just traveled—call them four seasons if you will, yet they are any measure of time, or experience. Each pass it gets broader, with a vertical thread down to the origin which intersects through each time we have overlapped that occurrence or lesson. We have the benefit of ‘seeing’ it all from a higher perspective or overview, and how we have faced it before, solved it or not, still to be addressed yet again.

Perhaps you know where this comes from? It was told to me by my Yogi when I was 24 and I have no source. Yet this wisdom has been my guide. It is also how these many dimensions can overlap, feed one another, yet leave eachother behind when the time comes or when there is better perspective. For this reason, I love your expansion into murals which have no timeline. How you have gone back to the root of what you know, what speaks to you—it shows how we bring our perspective and context with us. Forcing our thinking into theme or order is not the goal of these curated exhibitions. Getting us here, talking and reasoning, is!

We know from art history, whenever too much is defined, the system rebels. There will be a new art movement, either introducing chaos or alternate order. The Quadrivium, taught so very long ago, offers non-linear solutions to explain beauty, growth, vibration, relationships. Most of all, it stresses interconnectivity and relationships. It places us in perspective to a universe we can barely dream of, let alone understand. It encourages—curiosity and critical thinking.

If we are not curious, if we are not growing, we are stagnant. We are a self fulfilling amoeba! How boring, indeed. Your survey brings us to a height of inspiration to weave our own journey, intertwined with others when necessary, but not always. You give us room for our own path—the one we have been put here, on our own two feet, to walk.
