Your reflections echo mine with a moving capacity to articulate the dilemma of seeing not wanting to see and be made miserable and the helplessness of witness. You have just made me think - it’s my ego-identity that is helpless where witnessing belongs in that wider place where the many other often forgotten identities speak.

I’m just responding to this from the cafe at the Scotland Gallery after contemplating the impressionists upstairs. I’m so used to looking at some things, you help me bring fresher eyes. Thanks.
